Bio

Frank Dasent is a Sydney-based musician, music producer and Master of Music (Musicology) candidate at the University of Sydney. He completed a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium before relocating to Berlin in 2016, where he spent eight years producing and releasing electronic music.

His musical releases are available on Bandcamp. Recent releases include an EP with manpaintinghouse on Cascade Records (Paris) in November 2025, and a dual EP with D’Monk on Energy Exchange Records (Berlin) in March 2026.

Other production credits include co-composing the music and sound design for Curiosity, a VIVID Sydney 2025 installation with Mie Nakazawa (Haiku Hands); mixing and production work for ABC’s Play School; production on Chillinit’s 2025 album The Green Room; and production on 3%, Fred Leone and Scribe’s remake of “Not Many” for the NRL Finals 2026.

He is a coordinator of the ‘Beats and Pieces’ music production programs, which run across community organisations including Wayside Chapel, Youth Off The Streets and OLC Vinnies.
